| | Testimonials | Kimberly Barnhart Chicago, IL | There are not enough good words to say about my experience with Cheryl as a coach. From the first time that I met with her, I knew that she was someone who could help me grow and become better not only as an athlete, but as a person. She was there by my side when I stepped into the freezing waters of the Pacific for my first Half Ironman, and even though I was in tears, she was there for me to push myself in ways I never thought I could. She has always been there for me, pushing me to take myself to the next level for each and every race. For the past two years, having Cheryl as my coach, I have made leaps and bounds in my level of fitness, my level of competitiveness and my love for the sport. I have improved my times in both the Olympic and Half Ironman distance drastically. I have found a coach that not only has an amazing amount of information to share with you and great knowledge for the sport, but she is the most inspirational woman I have ever known. Not only have I found an incredible coach, but I have found an amazing friend.
| | | | Beth Johnson Glen Ellyn, IL | I have enjoyed Cheryl's coaching since 11/03. She has helped me train for 8 marathons and several triathlons. The structure and cross training have kept me fit and conditioned and injury free. The on-line training schedule is easy to use and keeps me motivated. I want to complete every workout as described, it is very motivating. She also calls and we meet for swims or track runs where she gives me useful pointers. She adjusts my heart rate zones and swim T-times frequently. Since I started with Cheryl as my coach I am much more fit and enjoy racing and the intensity of training so much!
| | | | Doug Striedl Triathlete - Age Grouper & Ironman Competitor | I found more truth being coached by Cheryl than any other coach or fitness program. I was introduced to Cheryl after I had gone through one coach. To say the least, Cheryl was God sent. Cheryl coached me like a professional Triathlete, but allowed me to grow into my own athleticism. The goals I set for myself in 2007 were to: 1.) Improve and learn to compete in triathlons 2.) Build a better self image of my body and mind 3.) Finish the Madison, WI Ford Ironman in 2007. I was able to accomplish all 3 goals and beyond. I just started doing triathlons in 2006, and was trying to complete my first Ironman. Cheryl provided me with my daily workouts, run, bike, and swim depending the day. She was able to choreograph my training perfectly from start to finish. In 2007, I was able to compete in a halfmarathon, a triathlon sprint, triathlon Olympic distance, half Ironman, and an Ironman. My main goal was to complete the Ironman. Cheryl not only helped me compete in the Ironman but helped me beat my worst case (15 hours) and best case (13 hours, and 30 minutes) times. I was able to finish my first Ironman in 12 hours, 28 minutes and 55 seconds. She's not only my coach but forever a friend and fellow Ironman competitor. | | | |
